John R. McDonald

John R. McDonald, 90, was born at home on November 25, 1930 in Oakman, Oklahoma. John married Bonnie Mae Short on November 6, 1948 in Stratford, Oklahoma. They moved to California where they lived for 8 years before returning to Oklahoma to live in Del City. From there they moved and settled down in Spencer, Oklahoma in 1969 where John lived until he passed away. John and Bonnie were married for 68 years before her passing.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Addie Mae McDonald; wife, Bonnie Mae McDonald; 5 sisters; son, Glen E. McDonald; and his granddaughter Dara McDonald.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Mae Gray and husband Don; son, Raymond L. McDonald and wife Atoya; sister, Betty Bryant; grandchildren, Glen McDonald, Jr. and Dresden, Shonda Jay, Micah McDonald, Kami Shearer and Jeremiah, Sydney Lowry and Kerry, Stephanie Magby and Brian, Justin Gray, Sherri Gray and Kyle, Erin McDonald, Stephen McDonald and Addison; great-grandchildren, Irie Rogers, Rylan Rogers, Tynslee McDonald, Briggs McDonald, Killian Gray, Melissa McDonald, and Aiden McDonald.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home Chapel, Oklahoma City, OK with interment to follow at the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Midwest City, OK.
