Johnny, or “baby brother” as he was called by his sister, Barbara, was shy but very caring. Johnny was the one who took care of his brother Fred when he was injured in an accident at the age of 17. He was also the caregiver for his parents as they aged and needed more help up until they both passed away.
Johnny graduated from Mustang High School and went on to a career being a truck driver.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Lenard and Irene Odom and his brother Fred Odom.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Leaf and husband Larry, brothers Nicki Odom and Tom Odom and wife Sue, many, many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
The family invites everyone for a time of remembrance and food in the Chapel Hill Event Center at 2 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021. Johnny will then be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
