John J. Vardaman

John J. Vardaman, 83 year-old resident of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma passed away July 13, 2016 at his home. Born August 17, 1932 in La Porte, Indiana, he was the son of John Samuel Vardaman and Aretta Frances (Couts) Vardaman. John was a longtime custodian at Mid-Del Schools. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge # 1235 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. John loved bowling; dominoes; playing cards; darts; and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Vardaman; 2 sons, Johnny Lee Vardaman and David Arnold Vardaman, Sr.; and 1 grandson, Rory Don Vardaman. Survivors include 4 sons, John Bruce and his wife Kimberly Ann Vardaman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ronald and his wife Deniece Vardaman of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Ricky and his wife Violet Elizabeth Vardaman of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Scott and his wife Rachel Vardaman of Del City, Oklahoma; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with burial to follow Military Honors at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
