John T. Welch

John T. Welch, 86, of Del City, OK passed away December 20, 2013. John was born September 22, 1927 to William and Elizabeth (Davis) Welch. John loved listening to music, especially gospel, listening to his stories on CD, and fishing. He was a devout Pentecostal and loved his Lord with all his heart. John was married to the love of his life, Doris, for 64 years. When he first set eyes on her, he knew she was the one. He also adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them. John was deeply loved and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; children, John Welch, Jr. and wife Susan of Bay Minnet, AL, Mark Welch and wife Tammy of Merrill, WI, Nolan Welch and wife Kim of Wausau, WI, Connie Roland and husband Bobby of Del City, OK, Steve Welch of Choctaw, OK; 25 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jimmie Welch and wife Shirley of Midwest City, OK and Wilmer Welch and wife JoAnn of Perdido, AL. John was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dolan Welch I, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Faith Chapel Church with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
