Jon Bradley Cook was welcomed into this world on December 20, 1952 by his loving parents, Kenneth and Louise Cook. On April 10, 2012, at the age of 59, Jon left this earth and was once again, joyfully welcomed by his mother and father. It was Jon’s desire to make those around him smile. With a small gift or a funny joke, he always wanted to bring joy to others. Through the trials of his life, his laugh never faded and his smile only got bigger. He had a deep love for all animals, but had a special place in his heart for reptiles, his most-loved being turtles and his pet iguana, Monty. Jon is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Louise Cook and his grandparents, Ross and Mabel Morgan and Glenn and Ethel Cook. He is survived by his two older brothers and their wives; Larry and Janice Cook of Oklahoma City and Kenneth and Donna Cook of Jackson, Mississippi, four nephews, 2 nieces and many friends. Jon was an exceptional person who gave so much to those who were lucky enough to know him. He wasn’t dealt the easiest of roads, but he traveled his with grace, and of course, laughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
