Jordan Lee Jackson passed away July 9th, 2020. He was born on March 2nd, 1989 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ron and Renee Jackson. He was athletic from a young age, playing multiple sports and excelling at soccer. He played for the Deer Creek high school varsity team as well as his club soccer team The Oklahoma City Sharks who went 45-0. He dreamed of working in world of sports, one day becoming a sportscaster, using his meticulous stat keeping skills and love of discussing sports with an audience. He was an avid reader. He was driven and motivated; whatever goals he focused on, he achieved. One of his greatest joys was being an uncle. He especially enjoyed walking with his niece, Gracie, to the park and exploring the banks around the pond. Jordan put his family first. He loved spending time with them, and told them often that he was grateful for all the memories he had with them and all the love that surrounded him. He attended Life Church.
Jordan is survived by his parents, his brothers; Jared and Janson Jackson, sisters; Jasey Kopensky and Jalyn Jackson, grandfathers; Jerry Jackson and Norman Martin, his aunts; Ingrid Stifler, Elaine Mayes, Bathoney Jackson, Patti Reed, uncles; Dave Stifler, Rick Murphy, cousins; Marisa and Tyson Vaughan, Josh and Laura Reed, Keegan Reed, Ashlee and Marcus Foreman, Ryan Murphy and Tyler and Emily Murphy, and his niece; Gracie Kopensky.
Thanks to OU Cancer Center, and to the staff of Frontier Hospice, who went above and beyond with Jordan's care. Special mention to Marisa Vaughan and Keegan Reed and Patti Reed in helping him through the last of his journey.
The family will be wearing matching t-shirts in Miami Dolphins colors in honor of Jordan's favorite team, feel free to wear sports related attire.
A Celebration of Jordan's life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Due to Covid there will be limited seating in the chapel, however you will be able to stream the event live from home, or from your device in the event center that is located in the funeral home. A mask will be required upon entrance to the Funeral Home, if you do not have one, one will be provided. There will be a reception held afterward at the Event Center located inside the funeral home from 3-4 pm, where the family will be receiving visitors.
