9/17/1998 – 1/23/2022
Kaylee was born in Midwest City, OK to her parents Charley Daniels and Holly Vermillion. Kaylee was a very special and unique person with a real knack for perceiving the world around her. Kaylee was an incredibly talented artist whose work offered an insightful look into her view of the world. A view filled with deep reflection. Her love of animals was very evident in many of her pieces. Kaylee was commissioned by Grandpa Jerry for a picture of a horse. The finished product was a stunningly beautiful horse that Jerry treasured and kept on display the rest of his life. As a senior at Mustang High School, Kaylee was a standout student in AP art and was awarded a scholarship to attend The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. For anyone familiar with her work, while you might not understand the meaning of the piece, there was no doubt that the piece had a very deep and significant meaning.
Kaylee was an independent woman and supported herself by working with animals as a handler at Mrs. Doolittle’s Pet Stay N Play. For Kaylee it was truly a labor of love. She would often work split shifts to take care of the many different sizes, breeds and types of animals in her care. She was committed to her work and enjoyed the time she spent caring for animals. As a small child, Kaylee preferred Animal Planet over cartoons or movies. She always dreamed of having a job caring for animals. Her pets growing up reflected her broad love of all animals. Kaylee had dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, two hamsters (Earl and Zelda) and fish. Her favorite pet growing up was her beloved German Sheppard Roxy. As an adult, Kaylee enjoyed her cats very much and vowed with sincerity to be the “Crazy Old Cat Lady”!
Kaylee had begun a journey into Music and Traveling. Having recently returned in September from her first festival in Columbus Ohio, Kaylee was excited to be planning her next trip to her next festival with her cousin Jevan in New Orleans, Louisiana.
For those that knew Kaylee, she wasn’t the sweet cuddly type and often times kept small children at arm’s length. However, she relished her role as “Cool Aunt Kaylee” to her niece (Abby) and nephews (Dakota and Jacksyn)!
Kaylee Anne Daniels was survived by her mother Holly Vermillion, father Charley Daniels, brothers Charley Daniels and fiancé Brooke Benson and Jacob Daniels, grandmother Shirley Hill, niece Abby Daniels and nephews Dakota Benson and Jacksyn Daniels. She was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kaylee was preceded in death by her grandfather Jerry Vermillion, grandmother Georgia Daniels, grandfather Charley Daniels, and aunt Jennifer Millsap.
Kaylee was a very special soul that will be missed dearly by her family and friends!
