Keith Chandler Fournier was born on July 15, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He
passed away at the young age of 21 on October 30 2023.
Keith was born in OKC, then lived in Choctaw, Oklahoma for several years. He attended
Indian Meridian Elementary and Choctaw Middle School. He moved with his family and
attended Huntington Middle School in Warner Robins, Georgia. When the family moved
to Florida he attended North Bay Haven Charter Academy in Panama City. Keith
graduated high school from Gateway Academy in Bonifay, Florida in 2020.
Keith loved animals of all kinds. He especially enjoyed the companionship of the family
dog, Bindi. He had a compassionate heart for needy animals too. In Georgia, he
volunteered many hours at the Second Chance Animal Rescue for dogs. While working
there, his dream became to one day open a bird sanctuary for his feathered friends in
need.
Keith loved movies, stargazing, good books, and music. He played the trumpet in
middle and high school. He also loved spicy foods. On his 15th birthday he successfully
completed the Blazin Challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings by eating 10 Blazin Knockout
wings within 5 minutes. He did not look good afterwards, but he sure was proud.
From a young age Keith was curious, inquisitive, adventurous and competitive. He was
in his element while being outdoors. He enjoyed camping in Boy Scouts. He played
baseball, soccer, football and wrestled on a variety of teams. He could sail a small
sailboat alone, liked wakeboarding, riding bicycles, and riding dirt bikes even when trees
got in his way. He enjoyed flying in small planes. His daring tendencies led him to join
the United States Army as an infantryman, and paratrooper, jumping out of airplanes.
He was a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and was based in Vicenzia, Italy.
Keith is survived by his parents Louis and Melanie, sister Kathryn, sister Lauren,
brother-in-law Cale, brother Aaron, sister-in-law Madi, nephews Silas and Guthrie, niece
Annie, grandparents Ted and Justine, grandparents Lou and Kathy, and numerous
aunts, uncles, and cousins. Keith is also survived by loved ones Christi, Kenneth, Kyle,
Maggie, Joe, Joseph, Logan, Elliot, and Sloan.
Keith was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Keith was inurned at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Rest in peace Keith
