Kenneth Wayne Cassil was born April 27, 1934 in Oklahoma City and passed away February 6th at Deaconess Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Eva Cassil and his older brother Robert. Kenneth was a life-long resident of Oklahoma City and leaves behind many friends and a loving and grieving family. Dad had a vibrant and fulfilling life and his passing leaves a void for all who loved him that will never be filled. Kenneth had a special way with people that endeared him to those he touched. He could be gruff on the exterior but a truer and more caring friend, father and grandfather cannot be found. After returning from the Korean War, Kenneth married Carolyn Fowler and they raised three children. Later in life Kenneth married Carolyn King and they had many happy years together. Kenneth loved to travel but what he loved most was spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed retelling his worldly adventures and we will miss his stories very much. One would wonder after visiting with Kenneth, "did he really do that?" -- and be assured that yes he did! His was a life well-lived. Kenneth leaves behind his lifelong best friend and brother Larry Cassil, and two sisters Betty McCord and Barbara Rowe; his children Steve Cassil and wife Pat, Ken Cassil Jr. and wife Jonna, Karen Carpenter and husband Scott, and Chris Morrison and wife Diane; grandchildren Kenny Cassil lll, Kane Cassil, Jackson Cassil, Shawn Cassil, Laura Cassil, Sarah Morrison, Christopher Morrison and Samantha Morrison, his great granddaughter Dylan June Cassil and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dad will be at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Friday, February 10th at 10.00 am.
