Kenneth Charles Denney passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 10, 2020.

He was born on October 30, 1932 in Alex, Oklahoma to Sherman and Elsie Denney.

Ken was a beloved father, husband, coach, advisor and friend. He loved being a Papa. As the world’s biggest OU fan, we know he loved the Sooner’s overtime victory the morning of his passing. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952-1955. While stationed in England, he met the love of his life, Valerie Heaven. They married on November 13, 1955 and spent close to 65 years together.

Ken graduated from Tulsa University, and went on to earn a Master’s in Aeronautical and Space Engineering from Oklahoma University.

He was a highly respected engineer for the B-52 and B-1 bombers at Tinker AFB. After retiring from Civil Service, he went to work for Boeing on the E-3 AWACS. Ken was a man of great strength, character and integrity.

Will miss this Uncle. He was very sweet and I will cherish the times we got to visit. He took the time to come to one of my state ballgames. He gave me advice on the times I called and asked his opinions. I have some of the best pictures of my kids and family because of his sharing with us. Love you and will miss you. Jojo
