He was born on August 6, 1936, in Oklahoma City to Everett and Jessie (Hall) Shreve. Kenny graduated from Capitol High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from September 1954 until June 1958, receiving an honorable discharge.
On April 18, 1975, Kenny married the love of his life, Margaret. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and dedication, raising two daughters. They shared 45 wonderful years of marriage until Margaret’s passing in 2021.
Kenny worked for 37 years at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring as an Industrial Engineer Technician. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, and caring for his yard. Kenny was known for his stubborn streak, quick wit, and sense of humor, but above all, for his deep love for his family. He often joked that he was a handful growing up—full of mischief and few regrets—but that he sure had fun along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Edward Shreve; his sister, Phyllis Head; and infant sister, Nancy Shreve.
Kenny is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Justin Rice, and Paula and Genaro Pratcher; his sister, Jobyna Fuller; and his beloved grandchildren: Abigail Smith, Tre’ Davis, Caitlin Smith, Connor Rice, Jaylen Pratcher, and JaBron Pratcher.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Please join the family for a reception at Paula's house following the service.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
