Kevin Dale Malaska

Kevin Dale Malaska, aged 56, died peacefully on May 9, 2023. He was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 18,1966. He grew up in Breckenridge, Oklahoma and attended Garber High School where he was involved in many sports, agricultural and social activities. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Phillips University before moving to Oklahoma City. There he obtained a master’s degree in marketing and was employed by Heartland Payment Systems.

He is survived by his parents Glenn Dale and Darla Jean (Branson) Malaska of Breckenridge, OK; his brother Todd Malaska of Breckenridge, nephews Ryan and Damon; his brother David Malaska and wife Alisha of Bethany, OK, niece Peyton, nephews Eventz, Jared, Jocelyn and Evenson; his dog Odie; and countless wonderful friends and extended family.

Kevin knew something good when he saw it. A good time, a good dance song, a good laugh, a good evening with friends. He knew how to love and how to let go, and you could trust him with anything. As a buyer and seller of antiques, Kevin had an “eye.” Kevin saw the beauty in things. He saw beauty in nature, in the arts, and the world. He saw the beauty in estate sale castoffs which he could then take and display in a way that others could see their beauty too. Most of all, Kevin saw the beauty in people. He curated relationships with loving kindness and acceptance. If you were a part of Kevin’s life, it is because he knew something good when he saw it. And he saw you.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8701 Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
