LaDonna Kay Schuringa, age 52 of Oklahoma City, passed away on April 27, 2019. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services located at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave. in Oklahoma City. A public visitation will take place on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 10am to 8pm at the funeral home. A funeral service in her honor will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00am at St. James the Greater Catholic Church located at 4201 S. McKinley Ave. in Oklahoma City.
LaDonna attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in middle school and then went on to U.S. Grant High School and graduated with the class of 1984. After high school she attended college at the University of Oklahoma where she attained her master’s degree in English literature and journalism. She worked for the FAA at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center before going to work as an exam technician for the IRS, where she worked for over 20 years until her passing.
LaDonna was the pitcher for her softball team in high school and won over 30 trophies. She was an animal loved and also enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking. She could often be found watching Dancing with the Stars on TV. She was good at her job and trained others for the IRS. She will be remembered as an independent, kind and caring woman who loved spending time at home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her Mom, Joy Lanell Kordeliski; brother, David Mike Kordeliski II; Grandpa, Johnny Eakes; and niece, Hope Conway.
She is survived by her Dad, David Kordelieski; grandma, Ottolene Eakes; Nieces: Samantha Mooney and Holly Conway; nephews: David Michael Kordeliski III and Christian Kordeliski; uncles: Terry Don Kordeliski and Johnny Eakes; and cousin, Darla Smith, as well as Dylon Kordeliski and Ryan Smith.
