

Laura Lee Andrea (Burgess) Hallman, age 88, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Laura was born August 3, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Louise Emily (Gregg) Burgess Hamm and Vivian DePlene Burgess. A come & go visitation for Laura will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services -South Chapel, 7720 S Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73159. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, Oklahoma.
Laura Lee Hallman, 88, born August 3, 1933 passed away from this life on August 11, 2021 and went to be with her Lord and Savior for eternity. She was born in Oklahoma City on August 3, 1933 to Vivian D. and Louise Emily Burgess. She was married to Leslie Dave Hallman on Christmas Eve in 1949. Laura Lee is preceded in death by her loving one of a kind husband L.D. Hallman and her mother Louise Hamm. She leaves behind her children and their spouses: Leslie Belt Hallman, Dave and Beverly Hallman, and Andy and Duana Hallman as well as grandchildren/spouses: Tommy Thompson, Andrea Horst and Jeremy Dykes, Josh and Keri Hallman, Matthew Hallman, Jennifer and Chris Mooney, Kyle Hallman, Caleb and Melissa Hallman, a grandson due in November, 11-great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild due in January. She also leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law Lequita and Bill Ennis and brother-in-law C.J. Hallman, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Laura Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and soon to be great-great grandmother. She was a staunch advocate for education and introducing her loved ones to an expanded world through summer retreats, camping, hiking, nature, and expeditions. She was a pilot and flew her Cessna with her children to Mexico, Panama, and Fort Cobb on wonderful adventures. She was a world traveler including numerous trips with Earth Watch. Laura Lee loved to Kayak with the OKC Kayak Club and take trips in her vintage camper with Sisters on the Fly and The Getaway Gals where she met some of the most wonderful people. While working full-time in the family business Laura Lee always found time for civic responsibilities such as serving on PTA, Girl and Boy Scouts, Neighborhood Watch, Metropolitan Camera Club, reading to the blind, and any other group who asked for her time. She was an absolute joy to be around and loved life. Her red hats and her beautiful smile will be missed more than can ever be expressed.
