We have been in Pennsylvania for almost 35 years. Trips home were few, but always a very special family occasion. One special memory was at my brother Jay's home. All my family was there and Wayne brought the very best brisket we ever had. He sure could could cook a mean brisket. I remember how his eyes would light up when he would see Misty or Christy and his precious grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by our family and loved ones. πŸ™πŸ»

My papa was my best friend. He was so kind and patient. He taught me how to cook and garden. We always had the best adventures together. When I had my daughter, Blakely, he treated her the exact same. He could always make her smile and laugh. He was my favorite person and I am so sad he is gone. He was the best person and papa. I will miss him so much, but I know he is in a better place. I love you papa. πŸ’—

Wayne was a quiet man but a fun Papa. I'm so glad he was here to meet Blakely but I am sad she won't get to enjoy the fun Papa that her momma did. He was a man of few words but he always made sure you knew how much he loved you. We never had to question that. We already miss you and always will but we are happy you no longer hurt. We love you!

We will always remember Wayne as a gentle loving and devoted husband , father and grand father. At family gatherings we would be looking around for Wayne after dinner and he would find his favorite spot on the living room couch and take a nap. Family was everything to Wayne. He willed be dearly missed by all.

We truly enjoyed seeing the pictures in the slide show. Words can't begin to describe how much we will miss Wayne. We had some good times over the years, at family gatherings and just hanging out on the weekends when we all lived in the city. Wayne was someone we always knew we could count on. Over the many years, he worked on a lot of our old cars and never hesitated to help us in any way he could no matter what we had going on. Some of our favorite memories of him we're when he came over and built the most awesome deck in our backyard and of him playing pool and listening to Bob Seger. Also, playing cards on Saturday nights and then he settled into mom's old Orange chair to take a nap. He was a GREAT cook and we agree with Donna that he made the BEST brisket ever. He was a good and decent man who worked hard and loved his family and loved life. Wayne was a good friend and like a big brother to me. He will be truly missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Brother.

I met Wayne in my early teens and he was so much a part of our family. Wayne helped teach me to drive at 16 and then let me wear his shirts at 19 when I was huge pregnant. I lived with Wayne and Kathy for a very long time and I love him dearly for ALL of the memories, too many to mention, he was so much a part of my life. He will be missed by so many that he was a part of. I love you Wayne and thank you for so much.
