Lena always surrounded herself with family and friends, she enjoyed having all the family over for the holidays and you could count on her house being in pristine condition. Lena was a fantastic cook, being credited with having the best fried apple pies, she always had plenty of food prepared for family gatherings. She enjoyed American and Mexican cuisine but began to branch out after going into Crystal Place. Lena was compassionate and caring, if anyone was ever sick she would always be by their side.
Sometimes Lena could be found outside tending her small garden and rose bushes. Lena enjoyed travelling, however, growing up they always drove straight through to their destination. Later, Steve took the family on vacation and made it apparent that stops will be made. They went all through West Virginia and into Philadelphia. She ended up admitting it was the best vacation she ever took. Later in life, Lena found Christ and she was baptized on Easter Sunday by Chaplain Jake Lehart.
The family would like to thank Keri Cup from Valir Hospice for her care and compassion for Lena.
Lena is survived by her children, Steve Hodgin, Les Hodgin and wife Gloria; 4 grandchildren, David Hodgin, Paula Craigie, Shawn Hodgin, and Tracy Hodgin, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
