Leona Jean Alleman

Leona had a full and wonderful life giving to others. She was especially fond of her job as Activities Director at St. Ann’s Nursing Home, and dedicated her life to working with the elderly residents there. She was also President of the Oklahoma Alzheimers Association for a year.

But her truest love was the care and keeping of her family. She and her husband John were blessed with four boys that she loved dearly. They were the joy of her heart.

Leona is survived by her loving husband, John, her mother Virginia Abel, and her four boys, John Madison Alleman, Jr., Robert Wayne Alleman, William Charles Alleman & Joseph Lee Alleman. Also she is survived by her sisters Barbara Joan Kerr, LaDonna Mae Roetker & Nancy Dee Cliburn. Leona was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Lee Abel and a step-son, Robert Lynn McCaulla.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel, 5820 NW 41st Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with interment to follow at Jennings Cemetery, Jennings, Oklahoma.
