

LeRoy was known as “Dick.” He married Catherine J. Martin on January 17, 1950. They celebrated their 74th anniversary last month. They had four children, Cherlyn, Debi, Les, and Troy. He is survived by his wife, three children, five grandchildren and their spouses, ten great-grandchildren, and his daughter-in-law Khristy (Les). Dick loved to fish and hunt. He and his wife loved fishing in Minnesota and Alaska. He and his family built a lake house at Eufaula Lake.
He spent 23 years in the military – 3 years in the U.S. Navy and 20 years in the U.S. Air Force – and retired in August 1969. After retiring, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Tinker AFB. When he retired from those positions, he and his son Troy owned and operated Eager Beaver Lawn Service in Choctaw and surrounding areas.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Emma (Schoenbeck) Rupp, all of his siblings, his son Troy and his son-in-law Jim Kirkpatrick (Debi).

A visitation for Leroy will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery, 1934 N Choctaw Rd, Choctaw, OK 73020.
