After a long and valiant battle with cancer, Lila Lee Burns passed away in the comfort of her home on September 6th, 2018. Lila Lee Burns was born June 7th, 1971, at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Joseph Patrick O'Connor, and Lila Lee O'Connor (Strebeck).
Lila was a multi-talented woman of beauty and grace who was deeply loved by her family, friends, and colleagues alike. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile Adoram Temple #95, and Past First Lady 2016 at India Shrine Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She and her husband, Larry Burns, both have love for children, and she will be remembered for the charity work she did for the Shriners Hospital for Children Transportation Fund. She was a maverick in the telecommunications industry, and had extreme pride in her company, Burns Telecommunication Services. She was very creative, and enjoyed making art of all forms, but especially loved the watercolor medium. She will be remembered for her impeccable sense of style, especially for her fabulous collection of high heels. She loved her husband, Larry Burns, and their dog, Freckles Burns, very much. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lila Wright and her brother, Patrick O’Connor. She is survived by her father, Joseph Patrick O'Connor, her step-mother, Ginny O'Connor, her husband, Eldon Larry Burns, her sisters, Anne O'Connor and Kathleen O'Connor-Fults, her brother, Michael O'Connor, her daughter, Lila Bailey, her grandsons, Eli Burns, Ethan Burns, and Everett Burns, and her granddaughters Autumn Mitchell and Lila Mitchell. She will be sorely missed.
