Linda Lee Phipps

Linda Lee Phipps, 76 year-old resident of Midwest City, OK, passed away February 15, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born February 24, 1941 in Shreveport, LA, she was the daughter of Robert Roy Beasley and Frances Reed (Dickerson) Beasley. Linda taught English as a second language thru OCU Baptist Collegiate Ministry. She worked long and diligently on her lessons and spent a lot of time talking to her former students who were all over the world. Teaching internationals students was her passion. Survivors include her husband Charlie A. Phipps of the home; two sons, David Phipps of Ft. Worth, TX; Charles “Mike” Phipps of Midwest City, OK; three grandchildren, Jonathan Phipps and his wife Tiffanye of Arlington, TX; William Phipps and his wife Danielle of Wahiawa, Hawaii; and Kristen Phipps of Grand Prairie, TX; and 1 great-granddaughter, Brooklyn of Arlington, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73141 with burial following in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
