Linda Suzann Bates was born January 24, 1950, in Fort Myers, Florida to Jennings Wade and Margaret (Murphy) Sasser. She passed from this life to be with her Lord at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Sue, as she was known by family and friends, was a graduate of Central State University. She married John Wayne Bates on August 1, 1970 at the First United Methodist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. Sue was a social worker for the State of Oklahoma until her retirement.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, John Bates. She is survived by her son, Greg Bates and wife, Katy; daughter Meredith Wronowski and husband Ben; her beloved grandchildren Katherine and Niels Wronowski and by her sister, Sylvia Wamble and husband Mark.
A graveside service in memory of Sue will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens when she will be laid to rest along with her husband John.
