Oklahoma City resident, Lloyd Waner Formby, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 1, 2018. Lloyd was born June 2, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to Minor and Ruth (Waner) Formby. He is the nephew of Baseball Hall of Fame brothers, Paul “Big Poison” Waner and Lloyd “Little Poison” Waner. After graduating from Harrah High School Lloyd served in the Army during the Korean War. He graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi. Lloyd started his career with Ernst and Young and later worked for the IRS where he retired after 35 years of service. Lloyd is a member of The First Baptist Church, OKC, where he has served as a deacon. Together with his wife, Lisa, he found enjoyment in various activities such as snow skiing, motorcycle trips, dancing and lake time. Lake Eufaula was his home away from home and he formerly served as office manager and board trustee of the Piney Creek Property Owners Association. Lloyd really liked being around people and he knew no stranger. He was the best listener and conversationalist. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa Ross Formby; his brother, Joe Formby; his children; Debbie Formby Good and husband Ron; Anne Formby Kimball and husband Bob; Jerry Ross, Ron Ross, Angela Guzman and husband Juan; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank the fourth-floor staff of Mercy Hospital for taking such good care of Lloyd.
