Lois Carder

Lois Angeline Williamson Beller Carder grew up on a farm in Stratford, OK, Garvin County, Oklahoma with her parents W.E and Esther Williamson and ten siblings, Polly (Euva), Sally, Bob, Joe, Marie, Jack, Dick, Dorothy, Kathryn (Cotton), and Lee. Lois’ parents and siblings predeceased her, along with her husband, Richard “Dick” Carder; son, Bill Beller and her favorite dogs Tuffy and Celtic.

After graduating high school in 1946, Lois moved to OKC where she rented an apartment in the Goodholm Mansion, where her brother Bob and wife Mary also lived. Lois went to work the day she interviewed at the State Department of Agriculture, staying there for 38 years before retiring early. At that time she and Dick Carder married and had many great loving years together.

Lois had two children William Lee “Bill” Beller and Donna Rachel Beller whom she raised in South OKC. Lois is survived by Donna Mitchell Brown and Scott; daughter-in-law, Sheila Beller; bonus daughter, Linda Carder Mitchell; grandson, Greg Mitchell and Tami; their children, Maggie and Price; grandson, Marc Mitchell; his daughter, Chelsea Barnett and Michael; their son, Jeter; granddaughter, Traci Smith and Gerald; their daughter, Jessica Jones and Garrett; their children, Raycen and Carson; daughter, Kathryn McDougall and Nathan; their children, Caydan, Cayleigh, and Cinsley.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A graveside service will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM at McGee Cemetery, 11702 North CR 3400, Stratford, OK 74872.

Lois always said she couldn’t imagine raising Bill and Donna without the help of her parents, parents-in-law, Howard and Rossie Beller and childcare by Finley Covel.
