March 6, 1936April 30, 2020

Lois Ann Sumner, 84, of Tecumseh passed peacefully from this life on April 30, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral service in OKC. Services for Lois will be livestreamed at 2pm Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the following link: www.facebook.com/advantageokc/ A video of the service will also be made available following the service at the above mentioned link.

Lois was born on March 6, 1936 in Ada, OK to Floyd and Alta Mae (Jenkins) Hill. She was raised and attended schools in Ada. Following high school, she worked as a waitress at the local café. On March 10, 1956 she married the love of her life, Claude Parks Sumner and they would go on to raise five wonderful children together. The Sumner family lived in California and New Mexico before ultimately moving to OKC in 1980.

Lois managed Snyder’s Mobile Home Park for many years and finally retired in early 2000. After 45 years of marriage, Claude passed in 2001 and shortly after his death Lois relocated to Noble, OK. In 2015, she moved to Tecumseh, where she would live until her passing.

Lois was a kind and independent woman who had an ornery streak. She had a passion for gardening and could grow just about anything. She enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, and going dancing with Claude. Lois was generous and giving and found great satisfaction in volunteering with the local Salvation Army. She made an unmistakable impact on the lives of those around her and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude; her parents Floyd and Alta Hill; two sons: Larry and Steve Sumner; two grandsons: Zachary and Luke Sumner; and 9 siblings. She is survived by her three daughters: Linda Dillard and husband Joe, Lorna Little, and Laura Byers and husband Ronnie; 9 grandchildren: Stevie Roberts, Donnie Roberts, Sean Roberts, Tabitha Conklin, Quinton Lee Hutchinson, Jen Sumner, Christopher Sumner, Sunny Sumner, and Zaberin Sumner; three siblings: Jerry Don Hill, Cloretta Hill, and Betty Hill; daughter-in-law Carla Sumner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

I just wanted to say,* Steve Sumner,* (deceased) Lois's Son, and farther of Zachary (deceased), Zabrian, &, Sunie Sumner , who loved her dearly, Steve was a Mama's boy for sure. We would move to Cali to Oklahoma because Steve always wanted to be close to his Mama , daddy and family. Lois and Claude would also move from Cali to Oklahoma until they finally settled back in Oklahoma. We then made our decision to make our home in Oklahoma So Steve could be close to his Mama an daddy, and our kids could be close to there Grandma Lois and papa. Lois always loved Steve coming over visiting and doing things for her around the house and yard. They were very Close. I will always myself be indebted two Lois for helping Steve,Me, and our family when we were in need. Lois had a very big heart. My family will truly miss Lois. She has spent the last decade or more on this Earth with the girls her daughters, Now she is in heaven with the boys , husband and two sons and two grandsons, And the rest of her family...#REST IN PARADISE# *LOIS ANN SUMNER*

I was 15 when I came into Lois's life, It took another 15 yrs to finally get her to give up her son and like me. She was very protective over her babies.I learned family values being apart of her family and will never forget all the things Lois and Claude done for me and Steve through out the years.lois had a kind heart if anyone was in need she would give her last dollar. I will truly miss her she was my family.
