Lorene Varner Killian

Lorene Killian was an amazing wife of Thomas Ammon Killian I, mother to Carol Ann Killian and Thomas Ammon Killian II, daughter of Etna M Varner and Sandy Joseph Varner, grandmother of Leslie Collum and Melissa Pruitt, and great grandmother of Haley Allen and Justin Allen. Lorene blessed all who met her with a smile and happiness just by being in her presence. Every day she lived was to love others with her amazing talent in the kitchen, hugs, kisses, and teaching others how to live their lives in a responsible, loving, and proper manner. She adopted her children and gave them an amazing childhood that others couldn’t only imagine, while all at the same time being a beautiful loving wife to her husband. Lorene enjoyed shopping at Balliet's and Neiman Marcus, organizing bridge and poker gatherings with her friends and husband, gardening, teaching home economics, but nothing was more important to her than spending time with all the children in her family. Not to long after becoming a teacher Mimi decided to stay at home to take care of her two children to ensure that they had a loving mom in the home at all times and to give them everything she could as a mother. Mimi always had a puzzle or card game ready for the children or anyone who came to her home to enjoy with her. Holidays were filled with pies, green jello, and chex mix specially made for the whole family. She made homemade ice cream that no one could even dream of making. She always greeted us with a smile and a kiss and had a place ready for us to stay when we came to her house. Mimi was nothing short of an angel. Having Jesus Christ as her lord and savior was a very important part of Mimi’s life. She would want us to go to church as often as we could and her collection of hymns was throughout her belongings. On April 18,2018 in the early morning Mimi peacefully left us to be with our heavenly father. The love and kindness that Mimi shared with us will remain in our hearts to share with others for as long as we shall live.
