

Loretta Mae (Nelson) Lovelace, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Fox, Oklahoma. She was born on December 16, 1936 in Wolbach, Nebraska to her parents Marshall Uriah Nelson & Alma Mae (Worm) Nelson. Loretta attended Ord High School in Ord, Nebraska, the Grand Island School of Business, and Rose State College.
Loretta was a mother and homemaker who spent the majority of her time taking care of her home and family. Outside of her motherly duties Loretta enjoyed gardening, cleaning, spending time with her sisters, playing with her great grandkids and grandkids, collecting rocks, antiquing, and sewing. She enjoyed watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids show and play sports. Christmas and Summer vacations were always spent with her family in Nebraska. However, nothing compared to the joy and pride she felt with the birth of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Loretta was also a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church since December 8, 1963.
Loretta is preceded in death by her loving husband, Delbert James Lovelace whom she married on September 2, 1956; her parents, Marshall & Alma (Worm) Nelson; brother-in-law, Robert Fischer; brother-in-law, William "Bumps" Eastman; brother-in-law, Victor Plugge; granddaughter, Callie Jean Smith; and her son-in-law, Walter Eugene Smith.
She is survived by her son, Marty James Lovelace & wife Linda Diane (Ross) Lovelace; daughter, Lori Jean Smith; daughter, Amy Beth Roundtree & husband Tommy Gene Roundtree II; sister, Donna Fischer; sister, Kathleen Eastman; sister, Marsha Plugge; as well as LaDena & Ricky Rose, Missy Simpkins, Trey & Amanda Roundtree, Travis Smith, Trevor Buehner, Ronnie Carpenter & Marty Brown, Caleb & Conner Simpkins, Avalyn, Tobias & Austen Mae Roundtree, Jakob Green, Callie Michell Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other family. The family would also like to mention Betty and the late Bill Wood and Joseph Simpkins.
Memorial Contributions can be made in Loretta's honor to the All Saints Lutheran Church.
A reception will immediately follow the service at the church with everyone welcome to stay.
A memorial service for Loretta will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 7501 E. Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73110.
