LuEllis Fountain

October 5, 1943- July 1, 2025

LuEllis Fountain passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Oklahoma, LuEllis spent most of her life in Oklahoma City and Edmond, where she built a life filled with purpose, friendship and love.

LuEllis dedicated 27 years of service to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), retiring in October 2008 as a Criminal Investigator. She brought integrity, intelligence and quiet strength to her work and all aspects of her life.

Outside of her career, LuEllis had many passions. She was an avid Bridge player for over 50 years, a skilled knitter and needlepoint artist and a talented baker who delighted in sharing her creations with loved ones. Above all, she cherished time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving daughter Cathy Sostak and son-in-law David Sostak, as well as her best friend and devoted partner, George Francis. LuEllis touched the lives of many with her warmth, humor and generosity, and she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to remember Lu by gathering with loved ones, playing a hand of Bridge or enjoying a homemade dessert in her honor.
