Lura Lee Chaney, 85 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 17, 2011 at Midwest City Regional Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born February 7, 1926 in Sylvia, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Tolbin Hall and Della Dillard Hall. Lura was a longtime licensed practical nurse. She loved traveling and fishing as well as her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Walton Chaney, Jr.; and 1 son, Spencer W. Chaney. Survivors include 2 sons, John Lee Chaney of Denton, TX; David A. Chaney of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Carole Berryhill of Edmond, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lucille Jones of Mooresville, North Carolina. Memorial services will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his daughter's home at 2712 Berrywood Drive, Edmond, OK 73034. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
