Although I haven't seen Aunt Mabel for many years, I have thought of her often. She came to my rescue when I was very young. My husband was seriously injured while working in the oil field and was taken to the hospital in Oklahoma City. Mabel picked up my toddler son and myself to stay with her and Duane while my husband was getting treatment. I have very fond memories of Mabel and am saddened to hear of her passing. She will be greatly missed!
