Being the oldest girl born into a large family much responsibility fell on her. During High School in Florence, Kansas Marci worked at a drugstore serving cold drinks and milkshakes. This is where her love of all things sweet, especially ice cream, was born. After graduating High School she moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked selling cosmetics at a local department store. She met and married Bob Pedigo in 1945. While Bob was serving in WW II, Marci worked in Blueprint Distribution for Boeing Aircraft Manufacturing. When Bob returned from serving our country Marci continued her job at Boeing to help put him through college. She and Bob moved from Kansas to Bethany in 1967. He passed away in 1995.
Marci had an active lifestyle and enjoyed playing golf. Her motto was, “if you don’t play well, at least look cute.” She also loved country & western and ballroom dancing. Big Band music was her very favorite.
Marci worked for 25 years in Property Management, managing a 120 unit apartment complex and later a smaller property of Town Homes. Those years were full of adventure and interesting stories.
In 2003 she married John Coppedge. They lived happily in Bethany until his death in 2010. She remained in their home until moving to Southern Plaza in 2014.
Marci will be remembered for her kindness, love of people, quick wit and fun sense of humor. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Her legacy will live on through them. The family wishes to thank Southern Plaza staff, her caregivers and Good Shepherd Hospice for their kindness and support.
A celebration of life service for Marcedes will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Southern Plaza Independent Living Event Center, 3737 North College Avenue, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008.
