Marguerite M. Taylor

Taylor, Marguerite of Choctaw, OK born June 26, 1907 in Indian Territory, OK to Richard and Ella Boles Boice. She passed away June 9, 2011 at the age of 103. She was a homemaker who put her family first. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. While raising her family she made many of the clothes they wore everyday. With 10 children she became an expert seamstress. As the oldest living member of First Baptist Church in Jones, OK, she had been active in the church her whole life. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Yates in 1987, 4 sons, Sherwood; Richard; Kenneth; and Wesley; son-in-law, Jack Williams. Survivors include: 5 sons: Jack (Betty) of Southhaven, MS., Robert (Barbara) of Jones, Delbert (Cretha) of Jones, Jerry (Ann) of Jones, and Donnie (Sandy) of Harrah; daughter, Yvonne Williams of Choctaw; daughter-in-laws: Jeanette Taylor of Choctaw and Barbara Taylor of Midwest City; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Monday, June 13, 2011 at First Baptist Church Jones, OK with burial to follow at Kolb Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
