I met Maria in 1996 when I was introduced to her as our 401k and profit sharing plan advisor. I continued to work with Maria in that role for the next 22 years. Over that period of time, we became great friends and I found her to be the one of the most brilliant professionals I have ever had the pleasure to work with. As friends, we discussed everything from business to family, investments to politics, I always enjoyed and learned so much from our visits and looked so forward to the next time. I left every conversation feeing so well informed. Due to our family and professional commitments, unfortunately we didn’t see or talk often but when we did, it was like we had spoken the day before and picked up where we left off. Those who knew Maria recognized quickly she was an incredibly intelligent woman with strong values and definite opinions, which she was not shy to share. I lost my wife and life partner 4 years ago and recall a call I recieved several weeks later from Maria. Her sincere, caring, inspirational and uplifting call couldn’t had came at a better time and at very low and dark time in my life. I was forever grateful for this gift from her.

A couple of weeks ago I contacted Maria regarding our 401k plan to learn she was ill. I have been disturbed since, knowing she was not well but in pure Maria style, and recognizing I was concerned, she assured me she was doing better and would contact me ASAP.

Maria, you will be missed by so many and thank God for enriching our lives by sharing you with us.

God bless your beautiful family, you will be missed by so many.

Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Maria was a strong, outspoken, incredible woman...I can’t say we always agreed in the office (she was a tough cookie) but I did enjoy the time we spent talking about our families and sharing our faith. She was such a proud mom and glowed as she shared stories (and pics) of her beautiful grand children. My heart hurts to think of the tremendous void her absence will leave...Praying for you Dave and family, asking God to give you all His peace.

Maria, you will be fondly remembered and Missed...

Professionally, Maria provided remarkable 401(k) and benefits consulting for my organization for sixteen years. She stood with me during a random Department of Labor Benefits Audit. I simply could not have handled that event without her unwavering and knowledgeable support.
Maria was just incredible. Always available. Smart, funny, supportive and positive. I am sorry that she won't be with us any longer, but I am so honored to have known and worked with her all these years. She was a God-send and will be impossible to replace. My deepest sympathies for your loss, but just know that Maria made an impactful difference for a lot of people, both personally and professionally.
