

Maria Marianos Clemons Reisman, of Mustang, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at the age of 71. Maria was born July 2nd, 1944 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of four children born to parents William Pete and Mercedes Skoufoglou Marianos as the fourth child of first generation Greek-Americans in the Marianos family. Maria was a loving wife to the most devoted and caring husband Herman Leon Reisman of Mustang Oklahoma for over 34 years. Her heart made her the mother of 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Maria always had a love for meeting with and caring for people. She worked in several healthcare venues before retiring as a medical assistant. After retirement Maria enjoyed volunteering with her husband within the community and church. She was most proud of her Greek heritage and was especially excited by their opportunity to travel to Greece and finally meet her extended Skoufoglou family. Maria and Leon were active members of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and both made strong contributions to activities and functions whenever possible. Maria had many interests over the years. She loved cooking, flower arranging, cake decorating, bird watching, reading, and music. Truly a woman of many interests and talents, but her most favorite activity was to be with family and friends. She loved to entertain and host special events. Maria loved nothing more than interacting with the ones she loved and she embraced her role as Yia Yia. Maria Marianos Clemons Reisman is preceded in death by her parents and her youngest daughter Deborah Diane Clemons. She is survived by her husband Leon Reisman, daughters Rebekah Ariadne Cassity-married to David Reed Cassity of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jennifer Welcher-married to Dave Welcher of Oklahoma City. Son's Stan Reisman of Houston, Texas, Ken Reisman of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dan Reisman of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren Lockard, Mercedes, Mason, Kamron, Travis, Tamara, Brandie, Michael, Tyler, Jeremy, and Zackary. Her great grandchildren Shelby, Kyler, Addyson, Carson, Candice, and Alyssa. Her brothers Andy Marianos and Pete Marianos, both of Houston, Texas, and sister Joanne Samaras of Carrollton, Texas. Maria also has numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. Although she is at an everlasting peace, She will be missed by many. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Oklahoma followed by Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A Trisagion will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
