October 27, 1934 – January 10, 2020
Marianna Osborn passed on January 10th, 2020. Her three children Curtis Edward Sutton, Diana Leigh Zschiesche Sutton and Laura Ladine Henry and son-in-law Michael Henry were by her side upon her peaceful passing. She is survived by her youngest brother James Raspberry of Hillsboro, Missouri.
Born in Holcomb, Missouri, she left her small town upbringing with her first husband Ray Sutton and lived a life as an Air Force wife and part time model. She and Ray were stationed in Air Force bases throughout the world, her favorite being the RAF Fairfield base in the United Kingdom from 1957 to 1960. After Ray’s untimely death in 1964 she lived in Midwest City, Oklahoma where she met and married Charles Ross Osborn in 1968. She enjoyed raising her youngest daughter, Laura, and practicing her homemaking skills. They were married for 47 years and enjoyed his retirement years from the B-1 program at Tinker Air Force Base, living in Harrah, Oklahoma until his death in 2014. During her various travels she developed a love for competitive bridge and obtained the Bronze Life Master level. She always said this was her most honored accomplishment and paved the way for her many lifelong friendships at the bridge table. She continued to play bridge and to cheer on her Thunder NBA team until her death at Epworth Villa Retirement village in Oklahoma City.
Grandma Osborn was her most cherished title and she leaves her 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, with wonderful memories of her exciting travels, sense of fashion and life lessons. Her grandchildren in order of birth, Andrew Sutton, Nicole Zschiesche, Anna Zschiesche, Adam Sutton, Nathan Sutton, Jacob Sutton, Benjamin Sutton, Madeline Zschiesche, Thomas Zschiesche and Clayton Henry and her great grandchild Declan Sutton have been blessed with her Southern charm and cooking. Her beloved recipes have been kept with care for future generations and, as in all good Southern recipes, one minor ingredient has been left off.
There is a new player at the bridge table in heaven and (Grandma) is placing the winning bid.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.

We enjoyed Marianna playing bridge at EDBC...she was a worthy opponent and usually won high....we list the four or five top winners....no money, just the Glory. She will be missed and her partners from Epworth will need a new partner. A life well lived and many children and grandchildren to remember her.
