

Marilyn Elizabeth Hunt, lifelong Oklahoma City resident, passed away June 21, 2012 at her home. She was born on December 21, 1934 in Oklahoma City to Kenneth Ray White and Marjorie Lee (Dennison) White. Marilyn graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. While at OU she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. On June 5, 1956 Marilyn was married to David Hunt and the couple made their home in Oklahoma City. She devoted many volunteer hours to the Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member of PEO. She taught Sunday school for many years, was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and more recently a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Marilyn enjoyed reading and was a member of the Nouveau Livre Book Club. However, she most enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family including her husband, David Hunt; her sons David Hunt II and his wife Vicki, and Jimmy Hunt and his wife Helen; her daughter, Lee Ann Reid and her husband Dale; six grandchildren, Brandon Hunt and his wife Jessica, Courtney Tague and her husband Jeff, Lance Reid, Austin Reid, Derek Reid and Melanie Hunt; her brother, Kenneth R. White Jr. and his wife Marlene; a sister, Donna Lee LaMar and her husband Don; and a special cousin Donnelle Stephens.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Road. Memorial Contributions may be made to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors.
