Marjean Werries

Marjean Sparling Werries was born July 30, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas to her parents, Harry Millis Sparling & Ethel Leon Sparling. Marjean as she was dearly called, was preceded in death by her brother Ron Sparling & husband Dean Werries.

Marjean graduated from Central High School in Wichita, Kansas and attended the University of Colorado to study art. She got married and had her twin boys Gary & Greg Storm, whom she adored. Later in life when her children were 14 years old, she married the her love of her life, Dean Werries. Marjean supported Dean throughout his career at Fleming Cos. to become Chairman of the Board. Marjean also had a granddaughter, Nicole Storm, who she adored. Marjean was an amazing artist. Her portraits were lifelike.

She was a generous & very charitable woman. Marjean was also the President of the Pen Club which she enjoyed for years. Marjean was always the life of the party and always wanted to make sure you were having fun. We will miss her fun-loving feisty spirit, heaven gained another Angel on December 22, 2021.

Funeral Services for Marjean will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2021 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
