

Marjorie Arlene (Carter) Rosengrant, born April 21, 1925 in Iola, Kansas passed away from this life July 16, 2013 in Oklahoma City. While married to Stanley Carter they began their trucking company Triangle Express, Inc. located in Oklahoma City in 1954. She was heavily involved in the Associated Motor Carriers of Oklahoma, who crowned her Transportation Queen in the early 60's. Stanley passed away in 1966. Marge ran and caused the business to flourish, and guided her grandson, Carter Tate, who took over in 1992. From 1966 until 1992 she was a woman who competed successfully in a "man's" world. Triangle Express is now 59 years old and still flourishing. In retirement she enjoyed fishing and golfing. In 1994 she won the Oklahoma Senior Women's Golf Association championship at Lake Texoma Golf course. She was on the board of directors for the Caney / Soldier Creek fire dept. in Kingston, OK. The family wants to thank Michelle and Shannan for helping to care for Marge in her last days. A very special thanks to Kim Smith for her loving kindness – you are a very special person. You made Marge happy in so many ways. Preceded in death were husband Walter Rosengrant and parents Harold and Jessie Walker, brothers George and Bob Walker, and sister Lavera Corbin. Survived by sisters Janie Paxton, Lila Raidt and Karen Garr and daughter Phyllis Kaye (Carter) Bradley; 3 grandsons, Richard Tate, Carter Tate, and David Poole and 7 great grandchildren. While married to Walter Rosengrant she had 4 step children, Davey, Patty, Peggy and Marion, 6 step grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
