

Marjorie Lucille Stamper, 97, went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2024. She was born December 21, 1926, in Woodbine, Iowa, to Guy and Bertha Gardner.
Marjorie moved with her family to Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 7, where she lived until she married her childhood sweetheart, Earl Stamper, in March of 1946.
After moving around the state for eleven years they settled on a farm in the Luther area. For several years Marjorie was a very active farmer’s wife and bookkeeper for the family owned Luther Mill and Elevator.
Marjorie had an enduring faith in Jesus Christ knowing that one day she would be with Him in glory. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed several hobbies such as oil and tole painting, traveling, quilting, and shopping.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Earl Stamper, her brothers, Robert Gardner and Marvin Gardner, two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
She is survived by her children, Twila Roy (Danny), Luther, Oklahoma, Margene Holst (Phil), Desert Hot Springs, California, Darrell Stamper (Lisa) and Denise Gardner (Keith), Luther, Oklahoma, 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren, and a brother, Guy Edwin Gardner Jr, South Bend, Indiana.
The family extends their gratitude to Mercy Hospice for their care and support over the last seven months, with special thanks to Sonja and Renee for their compassionate care and friendship.
