Mark W. Smith

Mark Warren Smith, age 64, of Moore, OK, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. Mark was born July 23, 1952, in Oklahoma City. He grew up in Midwest City and attended Southwestern State College. Mark followed his father into the hardware business (Smith Hardware) and co-owned Southeast Hardware with his brother for many years. Most recently he was employed at the Social Security office in Moore. Mark was an avid sports fan, and especially a fan of OSU football. He was a man with a big heart and a big smile. He was caring and compassionate, always willing to help friends, family and customers.

Mark is predeceased by his father Robert T. Smith. He is survived by his mother Ruth T. Smith; brother Paul Smith (wife Linda); sister Phyllis Flenniken (husband Clip); nephew, Skip Flenniken; niece, Shelley Flenniken; great niece; and two great nephews.

Mark’s family would like to say a special thank you to his friends and co-workers for the many happy times he shared with them.

A memorial service will be held in remembrance of Mark at 2:00 on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Wickline United Methodist Church in Midwest City.
