Marlena was raised in Piedmont, Oklahoma, where she attended elementary school and graduated from high school. Afterwards she moved to Southern California where she met her husband, Mark. Soon after they decided to make the big move back to Oklahoma City where they have spent the rest of their days together.
Marlena loved to garden, she was great at crafting, and she loved to shop for antiques. She had such a caring soul, and she loved to care for animals. She was an amazing caregiver, devoted wife, and a fun-loving hostess who loved a classic joke. A perfect day for Marlena would be spending time at the lake house in Eufaula, listening to soft rock and country music, while sitting on the porch. She also loved going on long drives and go fishing with her best friend and husband Mark.
Marlena was very proud of the love and connection she shared with Mark, they even decided to build their custom dream home. The love she had for Mark knew no bounds.
Though Marlena has passed, she will be remembered through the unconditional love, kindness, and cherished memories that she has shared with her family and friends.
Marlena was preceded in death by her mother June Rose (West).
She is survived by her adoring husband Mark Anthony Porter, father Bobby Ray Tilley, brother James Tilley of Oklahoma, sister Robbie and husband Joseph Hoppes of Oklahoma, along with niece Brande Heise and nephew Cameron Hoppes, great nieces Zelda and Logan Heise, and their cat, Jewels.
