

Joyce Silver, 85, passed away at home on February 26, 2026. She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City. She graduated from Harding High School and The University of Oklahoma. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Rella and Jake Kamenesky; her twin sister, Janet Kamenesky; her sister, Beverly Schwartz; and her husband, Milton Silver.
Joyce enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career as a Certified Professional Landman with Mobil Oil, where her intelligence, determination, and sharp wit earned both respect and lasting friendships. Later in life, she shared a wonderful partnership with Jerry Lund, traveling the world and seeking new adventures together.
Smart, friendly, and wonderfully outgoing, Joyce could strike up a conversation with anyone and was known for her perfectly timed one-liners and jokes. She will be remembered for her humor, independence, and the warmth she brought to every room.
Joyce’s family wants to sincerely thank her caregivers: Cicely Harper, Tanisha Harper, Aunyae Harper, and Nedra Johnson. Joyce came to regard these remarkable women as dear friends and family.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple B’nai Israel in her honor.
