

Marvene Musgrove died April 11, 2014. She was born July 12, 1931 to Marvin and Vera (Gray) Wycoff in Oklahoma City. She attended Putnam City schools and was valedictorian class of 1949. As a young girl she was always thinking of others with small acts of kindness that continued during her life. Marvene was an avid musician, playing the organ at several churches. She married December 29, 1950 to AJ Musgrove, her childhood sweetheart. Marvene worked at 1st National Bank numerous years before going to work for Rainbow Travel in 1962, eventually owning the company with husband AJ and retiring in 2005. She was a longtime member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and the many friends in the Wedding Ring Class. She is survived by son “Jay” Musgrove, wife Sharon, daughters Lauren and Jaime and families. She is also survived by sister Ellen Weaver, niece Kari, and nephews Monty and Keith. She is preceded in death by – who await her in heaven – husband AJ, infant daughter Diana Ruth, parents Marvin and Vera, brother Allen, and numerous uncles and aunts in the Gray and Wycoff families. The family wishes to thank Mercy Hospice and the staff of Fountains at Canterbury for their support. Donations can be made to St. Luke’s and Alzheimer’s Associaton. Visitation is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, and services 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
