

Mary Jeanne Hansen, longtime resident of Oklahoma City, born in Oklahoma City on December 6, 1922 to Charles and Clara Keiger died after a brief illness at Saint Anthony’s hospital on June 13, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband, Sergeant Robert T. Hansen, who died in a North Korean POW camp, and her parents.
Mary Jeanne graduated from William and Mary College in Colonial Williamsburg VA and earned a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma University in Norman, OK. Mary Jeanne had a diverse career, first as a librarian with Special Services attached to U.S. Army in Japan and, later, as a repair parts manager at Tinker Air Force Base for the KC-130J Tanker.
Mary Jeanne was active for 79 years in both the Daughters of the American Republic and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was an ardent genealogist and longtime member of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
Funeral preparations are being handled by the Advantage Funeral Home, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There will be a graveside service at 11 am on June 23, 2017 at the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
