Maryjon Walker

Maryjon Walker was born on July 10, 1940, to John A and Gertrue Wood in Oklahoma City. She married David L. Walker on August 10, 1957, and graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1958.

Maryjon was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Joy White and brothers Robert Wodd and Coy (Bud) Wood.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri (H-Richard) Akers of Calumet, OK and Robin (H-Michael) Stevens of Jones, OK; Grandchildren, Erick Akers (W-Danielle), Cheyenne Akers and Maria Grate; Great-grandchildren, Mya, Isabella, Anna-Belle, Ridley and Baron. As well as many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Although Maryjon dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family she worked part-time as a bookkeeper for Paul Woody of Woody and Associates being his first employee. In the early 2000’s she went to work and retired from Children’s Hospital Pediatric Infectious Disease.

Maryjon will be missed by those who knew and loved her!
