

Matthew John Rajeski, 63, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born in San Francisco, California, on April 1, 1963, to Virginia and Joe Rajeski, Matthew grew up in South City, San Francisco, as the youngest of five siblings, where he developed a lifelong passion for baseball.
He attended Junípero Serra High School and continued his baseball journey at Chico State in Chico, California, playing collegiate baseball until he started his family. Matthew was a proud father to four children: Melissa, Mitchell, Megan, and Taylor.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Matthew had a particular love for baseball and golf. Whether cheering on the San Francisco Giants or the 49ers, or spending a day on the golf course, sports were a constant source of joy in his life. He cherished sharing his love of golf with his youngest daughter and loved watching her learn and excel in the game.
Matthew built a career in transportation and logistics. Throughout his life, he lived in various states, including Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, California, South Carolina, and Florida, often relocating to be closer to his children. In his final years, he made his home in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Affectionately known as "Grandpi” & Grandpa, Matthew was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren. He took great joy in following their lives and loved attending their games. Those who knew Matthew will remember his deep love for his parents, siblings, and children, as well as his passion for baseball, enjoyment of golf, and the many places life took him.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Virginia Rajeski, and his son, Mitchell Rajeski.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Fitzgerald and her husband Chad, along with their children Kennedy and Charlie Fitzgerald; Megan Rajeski and her husband Aaron Kenny, and their children Mackenzie, Olivia, and Parker Kenny; and Taylor Rajeski and her husband Renato Cueva. He is also survived by his granddaughter Noemi Rajeski, daughter of his late son Mitchell; his siblings Joe Rajeski and his wife Kathy, Dan Rajeski and his wife Jan, Mark Rajeski and his wife Diana, and Lori Murray and her husband John; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
