Maxine Marie Reynolds

Maxine was born in 1930 in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Helen Madden. At an early age, Maxine met who would be the love of her life, Roy Reynolds, on the basketball court. From the moment they met, they knew they were meant to spend their lives together. Roy and Maxine were married and shared seventy-two wonderful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and unwavering commitment.

Together, Roy and Maxine built a loving family of their own, the Reynolds clan welcomed the births of their five children: Leslie, Richard, Beth, Keith, and Steve. Their home was one of love, laughter, and togetherness, creating a legacy that continues through the generations.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. She is survived by her loving children, Les Reynolds of Oklahoma City, Richard Reynolds of Oklahoma, Beth and husband Jim Kuykendall of Texas, Keith Reynolds of Oklahoma City and Steve Reynolds as well as former daughter-in-law MaryAnn Reynolds; 11 grandchildren: Cody and Trixy, Marcy and Nick, Kyle and Jen, Caleb and Robbie, Emily, Janae and Brad, and Zachary Teller; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 5 nieces and 6 nephews.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Maxine was best known for her radiant kindness and gentle spirit. She loved Jesus with all her heart and lived out that love daily by serving others, offering a listening ear, and making everyone around her feel valued and cherished. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, grace, and unconditional love.

Maxine lived her life with unwavering faith, strength, and love. She taught her family the importance of standing up for themselves and remaining true to their belief in Jesus. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy in sharing her faith with others whenever she had the opportunity.

Even in her later years, she continued to minister to others with calls, cards and words of encouragement. She was always considering the needs of others beyond her own. She continually expressed thankfulness regardless of how difficult her personal health challenges were and chose to see the blessings beyond the hardships. She was an inspiration to all who spent any time with her and those who came to bless her left with a greater blessing.

She deeply loved her husband, her children, and the many friends she made throughout her life. Maxine's greatest pride and most cherished accomplishment were the family she and Roy built together. Their marriage of seventy-three years stood as a testament to enduring love, commitment, and God's faithfulness. Together they raised five children, creating a legacy of faith, love, and strong family values that will continue for generations to come.

A service to celebrate Maxine’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Cherokee Hills Church of Christ, 6724 NW 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73132, Burial will be in Little Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m.
