Maxine Roberts

Roberts, Maxine Leona Fash, 95 passed away on May 29th in Oklahoma City. She was born on October 13, 1916 in Alva, Oklahoma to Kent and Naomi Noble Fash. Maxine was a career long elementary school teacher, once receiving the honor of Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. Over the years she enjoyed her involvement in many social and professional organizations.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 64 years, Byron Roberts who passes away in 2001. She was also predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law Don and Donna Roberts and her son-in-law John Reininger.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Reininger of Oklahoma City, 8 grandchildren, Kim, Kerri, Shelly, Tony, Codi, Jon Lee, Rob and Matt, special niece Judy Barnett, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Maxine was the life of any party and was blessed in so many ways. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Hahn-Cook Chapel with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
