Thoughts written by sister's Judy and Sharon... Love you my brother...Michael was a "tinkerer" and "jack of all trades" he loved making small projects with his hands. He built birdhouses out of old license plates and bigger projects like cedar chests and porch swings. He spent many hours with friends building a pond and deck in his backyard, He was always working on something. Many times you would drive up to his house and he would be out standing next to his Ford truck with the hood open, just tinkering. He was studying to become a Mason. His illness and the illness of his longtime girlfriend, Eva, prevented his ability to complete his confirmation. His working career included a Certified Auto Mechanic, Certified Automotive Refrigeration Technician, Long Haul Truck Driver, Carpenter, Certified Lab and X-Ray Technician and many other odd jobs throughout the years. Michael knew how to have a good time. He always had an eye for the ladies and we always joked with him about the fact that many of them came into his life with at least "two" children. This was perfect for Mike as he loved being around and spoiling the kids. I'm sure Uncle Mike will be remembered. He was a true romantic at heart, always bringing home small gifts or flowers to his girls.Michael was a generous soul. He would always do for others such as, help on their cars, mow their lawns, house set and watch their pets. Though he never had much himself he would give you the shirt off his back.He loved to go camping, fishing and traveling whenever he could get some time off.Michael loved his cat Rowdy whom he had for 14 years. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and close neighbors on Sunday's.Michael enjoyed going to outdoor concerts at Will Rogers Park and other places around Oklahoma City. He celebrated the New Year at Bricktown and enjoyed many a lazy afternoons at Martin Nature Park. He just loved being outdoors.Michael had a horrible motorcycle accident in 1973. He fought back against unsurmountable odds to go on and live a very productive life and he never let this slow him down. Though his pelvis was now metal and he had a very distinct walk, that was our Michael. Through all the hardships he endured in his life he would say "well this isn't the first time I've had to crawl back before I could walk" and lately he added "I'm okay I'm fine"He always had a special "cheeser cat" smile and did a little dance when he was kidding around.Michael gave love and was loved by many, he will be missed.Arrangements under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
