With both broken hearts and joyful hope, we celebrate the life of Michelle Renee Miller, affectionately known as “Chelle,” of Guthrie, Oklahoma. On April 16, Michelle stepped into eternity and into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Though her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, we take comfort in knowing she is now dancing in heaven—free from pain, radiant in glory, and fully restored in both body and mind.
Michelle was born on July 29, 1968, to Eldora Lanora Bull and the late James Edward Bull. She grew up surrounded by love, learning early the importance of faith, family, and laughter. Throughout her life, Michelle carried those values with her, offering them freely to everyone who crossed her path.
She lived in Libertyville, Illinois and Midland, Texas before returning home to Oklahoma. No matter where she was, Michelle created spaces of warmth and joy. She was the heartbeat of her family the one who prayed without ceasing, celebrated every holiday with intention, and somehow always made room at the table for one more. Her presence was a source of peace, her laughter a healing balm, and her words of encouragement a steady light in difficult times.
Michelle loved deeply and lived with intention. She delighted in the simple joys of life: grabbing a chai tea and chatting for hours, watching Little House on the Prairie, shopping for jewelry that matched her colorful personality, and diving into the Word of God with a heart hungry to grow. Sundays were sacred not just because of church, but because they meant time with family. Whether it was wedding dress shopping with her two daughters, family bike rides, or birthday celebrations, Michelle made every memory unforgettable.
She loved being a mom more than anything in the world. Her daughters, Candace Lauren Chandler and Morgan Paige Malanca, were her pride and joy. And when she became “Mimi” to her grandchildren Judah Michael Chandler, Hadlee Rose Malanca, and Julianna Joy Malanca her heart expanded even more. Every grandchild’s birth was a treasured moment; every smile, giggle, and hug was a gift she never took for granted. Her love was felt in every handwritten card, home cooked meal, and whispered prayer.
Michelle also had a sharp mind and a strong work ethic. She served as an administrative assistant in several professional offices, including Lincolnshire Tennis and Fitness Club and Physiotherapy. Her attention to detail and compassionate spirit made her an asset wherever she went.
But above all else, Michelle was a servant of Jesus. She was a faithful member of Remnant Church in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Whether attending Bible study, joining book clubs, or simply showing up with a listening ear, she brought light into every room. Her faith was not just something she spoke about it was something she lived. Through every hardship, illness, and trial, Michelle never lost her joy. She taught us to pray without giving up, to smile through adversity, and to trust God even when we don’t understand.
We believe with all our hearts that Michelle is now dancing freely in heaven her arms lifted, her voice raised in worship, her body healed and her mind at peace. We picture her laughing, barefoot in the golden streets, wrapped in a beauty that can never fade. She’s trading chai tea for living water, shopping bags for eternal treasure, and earthly sorrow for heavenly joy. And knowing Michelle, she’s already found her spot in heaven’s kitchen, cooking up something comforting for the saints.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Eldora Bull; daughters, Candace Chandler and Morgan Malanca; grandchildren, Judah, Hadlee, and Julianna; brothers and sister, Paul Bull, Micheal Bull, Jerry Bull, Jeff Bull, and Vickie Wilson; and countless other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Her husband, John Michael Miller, also honors her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Bull.
Michelle would want to be remembered not with tears alone, but with stories, laughter, and gratitude. She would want us to love one another deeply, forgive freely, and pray with bold faith. Her life was a testimony of hope, and though she’s no longer with us in the flesh, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched so deeply.
We love you, Michelle. You ran your race with grace. You loved fiercely and lived faithfully. We’ll carry your legacy forward until we see you again dancing in joy, whole and radiant, beside your King.
Viewing for Michelle will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
