

Millie Minerva Hawkins, a resident of Oklahoma City, passed away March 11, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born August 27, 1927 in Tishomingo, OK. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She was married in 1953 to Gerald Hawkins, who preceded her in death in 1986. She was employed by J & R Equipment for approximately 40 years before retirement as an accountant. Millie was a Christian lady, very kind, loving, considerate, unconditional, compassionate, selfless and as close to an angel on earth. She loved chocolate candy, working word finds, watching the Walton’s, and being around her family. She was preceded in death by a son, Dudly Richard Hawkins; her parents, George and Lindsey Jackson; three brothers and three sisters. Her survivors include two daughters: Susan Gail Hawkins of the home and Sheryl Loveland and husband, Don of Shawnee, OK; five grandsons: Richard Hawkins and wife, Sarah of Bend, Oregon, Shane Hawkins of Midwest City, Trae Hawkins of Nicoma Park, Troy Loveland, Travis Loveland of Shawnee, OK.; two granddaughters: Tandra Jordan and husband, Tommy of Sulphur, OK; Karman and husband Loyd of Blanchard, OK. Also, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sisters: Mildred Price, Salina Jones, Davalyn Long; two brothers: John and Delphire Jackson and James Jackson. Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
